AERATION AND OXIDATION TOWERS FOR REMOVAL OD GASES, IRON AND MANGANESE

They are used for Iron and Manganese Oxidation and for gas expulsion (such as CO2, H2S, NH3, etc.) from deep well water. TECNIAGUAS® manufactures three types of aeration towers: Open Natural Draft, Closed Forced Draft and Pressure Submerged Aeration (Oxydizer).

º    NATURAL DRAFT (TRAY TOWERS)

Natural Draft Aeration Towers consist on several open trays, one above the other, which contain a catalytic material such as coking coal or packing elements such as Pall-rings or Saddles. Water enters into the top of the first tray and drops uniformly through the catalyst, before being collected in the bottom tray. Aeration occurs naturally.

º    FORCED DRAFT

Forced Draft Aeration Towers consist in closed and packed towers with elements (Pall-rings) at their intermediate sectio. The water enters the towers at the top and is collected at the bottom, now oxygenated and oxidized. Pressurized air is supplied by a blower, injected through the bottom countercurrently to the water, and ejected through the top together with the gases.

°    OXYDIZER

Is an Aeration System specially designed to oxydize iron and manganese from water that contains no gases. The Aeration is carried out by inyecting pressurized air into the water in a closed chamber through an eductor system with ends made on stainless steel mesh. The supplied air volume can be controlled with special regulating valves.
